How to Locate Care Guidelines for Your Sofas

Updated: Jan 9, 2022

Isn't it great when you spend weeks or even month searching for the ideal sofa to accentuate your space, only to find out that you're clueless about the care guidelines?

In most cases we create a list; it must be the right size, the best color, great quality, affordable etc. It's only after purchasing the item and months later, finding yourself wondering how to clean and care for your product.

Most, if not all sofas are sold with a label or tag. The tags provide information that is very important for the care of the sofa and the material. If you're like me, then you might be one that dispose of tags and labels, however these labels will help you save money and time if followed carefully.

Information such as Care Guidelines:

W/Washable - which means washable using our Bissell Upholstery cleaner.

Dry Clean -This can only be clean by either a professional cleaner or the use of special solvent for the material.

Spot Clean - Only small areas or stains should be cleaned using soap bubbles and cloth.

Material

Fabric - Polyester etc. - in most cases these materials are washable

viscose - Most manufacturers discourage washing or using water on this type of material, because of the chemicals used and toxicity.

The longevity of your sofas are left to how often they're vacuumed and clean. We recommend deep cleaning your sofas twice per year in order to maintain that vibrant look!
